Answer: If you are using a metronome and you piece says as you said allegro ten you would want to set your metronome anywhere between 120-168. Here is a list of different speed and such...

Tips and advice!
When working with tricky counting like 3 beats in a measure, a metronome is often very useful help!
A great place to purchase metronomes is Chimney's violin shop! Wittner metronomes are a very good brand.
